KX-HTB-1 passive point retarder is executive basic device for speed control systems. It is designed for cars’ braking during marshalling or shunting operation on railway stations or siding where braking of decoupled cars is needed. The point retarder is fixed to rail by special fixing base which guarantees simple and fast assembly or disassembly of the retarder and strong clamping. Additionally, such fixing of a brake on a rail eliminates the necessity of any interference with the rail’s structure and ensures quick assembly and disassembly. Braking energy is absorbed by gas-hydraulic shock absorber, which allows for smooth braking of a car within speed range of 0 to 5 m/sek.
